After 2 years of attending this miserable University I have finally transfered. Thank God! In all honesty I would say most of the positive comments on this page are from the faculty in an attempt to imporove school image. Which is a big deal there considering nearly 50% of my class transfered or dropped out with in the first year. In fact they've recently started an entire division commited to improving school image and retension rates. The students who stayed or claim to like attending this school are for the most part extremely stuck up brats and get along with each other. About 50% of the students are "greek" which is by far the most important thing to the majority of those "greek" students. Partly because there is basically nothing else to do on campus. The surrounding town is cute but the residents do not appreciate the way the students trash the town and turn their noses up at the residents and are therefor not very welcoming. You'll find even the faculty to be rude, mostly because the snots that attend Ohio Wesleyan are rude to the employees, so they're rude in return. The students are overwhelmingly rude, fake, and petty. I choose Ohio Weslyan partly for the small school atmosphere, but currently I'm attending a University with over 35,000 students and get A LOT more individual attention in class. The classes at Ohio Wesleyan are challenging but are not nearly the levle they claim to be. TO anyone considering this University I would seriously reconsider, unless you're the type of person who enjoys a cold, rude atmostphere. I can assure you this is a very real view of OWU.
