Listen, U of A is good school. Just good. If you are attractive (GIRLS! If you are ugly you should NOT come here, that is some cold hard truth but it is the real deal. And boys, if you are ugly or fat you BETTER be good at sports or have LOTS of money) then this school and it's student body is going to treat you like a celebrity. When I was there, I was fit and tan and absolutely loved it, however there were a few semesters where I gained some weight and the entire vibe of the school went south for me. STAY FIT AND STAY TAN and you will LOVE life. What I wished I would have known when I was accepted is 2 main things mostly. 1) JOIN A FRAT (this goes along with the looks thing as well) even if you hate it, just gut it out for a year and then bail, you will still be able to party the next 3 years but won't have to pay all that money. 2) Frosh year GO UNDECIDED. Just do your Gen Eds and ask around about different Majors. BE OPEN! Don't do what I did and go in there thinking I was gonna be a business major and that was that. The Eller College of Business is HARD! You will have to do 20 hours a week of group work ALONE. This doesn't count all the other on your own studying. There are sooo many positives about this school that it's stupid really. Getting laid here is easy. However, even though there are a lot of kids there is only a small amount who frequent the same bars on certain nights. If you cheat or are a "player" the girls WILL find you out and you WILL go on a dry spell. That being said, have fun here. Mess around a bit, play the field, play sports, smoke your first cigarette, hit on a chick that is out of your league—which brings me to my next point. I dated some of the HOTTEST girls in my life because I was simply a "nice" guy and not a douche bag Jersey Shore type. There is a hot girl for every dude in that school you just have to be aware of your surrounding and for god's sake STAY FIT AND STAY TAN! ALL THIS BEING SAID!!!!!!!! go to class. go to class go to class go to class. 1/2 of the freshmen won't show up their soph year and they all have a sob story about the TA who didn't like them because they wore expensive sun glasses blah blah blah. All you have to do is go to class everyday all the time. I made a rule. The only reason I wouldn't go to class is because I was at a funeral or in the hospital. That simplifies it. I once went to class directly after coming back early one morning from MEXICO. If you don't go to class YOU WILL FAIL!
