This is a top notch public school in terms of academics. Probably on par with UC Boulder and somewhat close to University of Washington. However, I'm not really here by choice…the setting is miserable. I am shocked by kids who come here from out of state. It is super hot and sweaty about half the school year, it never rains, it is a DESERT, make no mistake that you are living in a pretty terrible natural environment. If you are not a super tan and toned frat boy who's majoring in business, you don't really belong here trust me.All the parties are frat parties, which you do NOT want to go to if you're not in the frat. Stereotypes are very true about this school. I plan on transferring already, I can't deal with living in a shitty desert anymore. Pretty much a bunch of California wannabes… don't come here
