am from Tulsa Oklahoma and have to say that i
had great expectations for OU and was disappointed from the
get go. First off Greek Life controlls the entire campus
setting. It divides the campus, everyone who is in greek
life is for somer reason in love with it, everyone
who is not hates it, and hates the people in
it. You can look at a student and tell right
away they are Greek because they all dress the same,
yea i know how homo is that, you would swear
they sleep together also then. I wasn't inpressed with OU's
campus either, Oklahoma until u get farrrr east towards Arkansas
is not an appealing state aethetically. OU has an alright
name, but that is misleading because the caliber of work
and alumni base is terrible. Just because your the UNIVERSITY OF followed by the name of the state doesn't mean
your a good school nationally. OU would be 5th or
6th best public school in the state in Texas or
California. The faculity doesn't care about anyone and a degree
here is not respected by anyone outside the state of
OK. I am a religious studies major, but most kids
here are bible beating rednecks who judge people and then
get wasted every night. Most of the student body is
hick, redneck, or frat douche and I'm not happy to
say that at all.

Responses I agree with most of what you say here |
If you're wanting an experience that doesn't involve "bible beating rednecks," then GO TO A RELIGIOUS COLLEGE. Seriously, what did you expect? I'm from Tulsa as well, and I can tell you there are plenty of Christian-based colleges in or around Oklahoma. Also, aesthetics are not very important when rating a university. Try putting forward some valuable information. |
