Hi! My name is Maira, I'm actually looking into applying to UO this year, it seems like a great school. Seeing as I'm a California resident, both my parents and I are a little worried about the out of state tuition. On your review of the school you mentioned how you transfered, could you possibly give me an estimate of the tuition fees and overall how much it costs. I'd really appreciate it. I've been looking into this school since my freshman year, I just want to know if I can really afford it. Thanks! |
Do what I'm doing go part time for the 1st year and save tons of money |
Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I couldn't help but giggle reading the review below mine. I also transferred to U of O, but not from Arizona. I spent my freshman year at University of Washington and was pretty miserable. The exclusive attitude of the greek system, the commuter feel (it seems like almost everyone is from Seattle and many go home on the weekend), and the overwhelming size of the campus campus made me very uncomfortable. At U of O, people are very welcoming and friendly. The class sizes can be big at the introductory level, but don't let that deter you from attending. Professors are very approachable and most of the GTF's (ta's) I have had are very helpful. The psych department is fantastic and there are many research opportunities available.Experience all that Eugene and the surrounding areas have to offer. Take a trip to the Oregon coast, go to the Oregon Country Fair (a true hippie festival with music, dance, arts & crafts, and some very strange entertainment), venture out to the Saturday market when the weather is nice, and hike Spencer Butte. I have even been to a few football games and I don't really like sports (the duck is such a cute mascot).
