Socially, every single night here will be the same. If you don't drink, you will sit home. If you do, which I did - you go to a Frat, a Frat house downtown, or stay in a dorm. There are rarely apartment parties with close friends. All parties are just crowds of people squished into a frat basement or frat house downtown. Frats parties are all the same, and after 2 years here, it gets boring as hell.

Girls- dont bother getting ready to go out because you will come home sweaty, with beer all over you. But then again, if you dont get ready, you will look out of place b/c the girls here look like they are headed to a club every single night..

Guys- you probably won't get into a frat until you join one (soph. yr only), so your first year will be spent in the dorms, every night.

Girls, you won't meet guys out (as friends) during a night of partying unless you are willing to throw yourself at them and hook-up. They won't care to get to know you otherwise, and I'm being completely honest. They have no interest in finding out "who you are". They will either try to come up behind you and start grinding up and down your backside, or talk to you in a drunken haze.

I drink, and get drunk, but I have never seen ppl get as completely blacked-out as they do here. It sounds like fun, maybe, but ppl seriously walk around with their eyes rolling by the end of the night and their goal is to get as completely wasted as they can. It is a very empty existence, ppl don't have "fun" by hanging out and meeting new friends, but by being absolutely hammered, period. You'll see once all people talk about when they reflect on their night was how hammered they were. That's it. No substance, no details, just hammered.

I love the teachers here. They will give you their home phone number to call anytime. They want to get to know people on a personal basis. A LOT of the work is busy-work though. You will have to read like 80 pages a night and some of the workload is just a waste of time. But overall, the teachers attitudes are amazing - open, friendly, personable. Be ready for a challenge, but its possible to do very well too.

So, I obviously have a lot of quams about the social atmosphere. People here, guys and girls, are very stuck-up. Many only wear name brand clothes (not GAP and Abercromie, more like .. I dont even know the names - but Coach, etc.) Guys wear poped-collars and khakis. Girls wear high heels and skirts to 8 a.m. classes - don't expect the typical college life where you roll out of bed in sweats and go..

The school is SO small that you will go to the caf and feel like its a high school caf. If you have a probelm with someone, 12 other people will get involved. If you come here, be prepared to spend 4 more years in high-school caddiness.

Oh, P.S. every girl here has an eating disorder. Even if they aren't skinny, every girl here is obsessed food for some reason. That's all they talk about. If you don't see it by fresh. year, you will once you join a sorority!

The campus is beautiful!! haha. The things I like about it are the campus, education, and exercise facilities which are amazing!. I was lured here through all this, but don't be fooled. After a little over a year here you will realize how bad the rest of it sucks!! yay! please don't go here.
