It's long but if you plan on attending Cal U, you should read this!  Cal U is a relatively smaller university, therefore you do get treated as a person rather than a number.  It's a local college so everyone already knows everyone (from high school or just from living in California, PA forever) and don't want to bother meeting new people.  The course work is relatively easy (similar to high school) but there are a few professors who will give you genuine college assignments and tests.  It's a relatively easy school to get accepted to.  There are no essays to write and the SAT/GPA standards are pretty low.  If you don't meet these low standards they will still accept you and place you under academic probation.  For this reason there are A LOT of slackers at Cal U, mostly people who are just going to college because their parents made them.  Since it's not a well-known college it's not the best choice if you plan to attend graduate school.  My advisor told me numerous times that I would have to work harder than anyone in order to compensate for attending a lesser known school.

I may be biased on this part since I was a psych major but...The psych department was very under staffed which meant that a lot of classes had to be cut or were only available during certain semesters.  Instead of spending our tuition money on hiring more staff they used it to do unecessary renovations to the school in order to increase enrollment.  Not to mention they completely remolded every building expect the psych building because it's at the back of campus.  The psych building is in pretty bad shape.  So yes, Cal U is nice campus (now) but if you're a psych major you're SOL.  Lastly, parking is insane at Cal U.  They removed almost all of the major parking lots (in order to make room for more buildings) making students park 2 miles from campus and shuttle down.  Fall 2010 they will have ONE parking garage on campus...one.  There is only one main road going in and out of campus so traffic can get pretty bad.
