I
received a Bachelors of Science degree with honors in environmental
design from Art Center. I paid over $150,000 for what
turned out to be a community college education. The curriculum
was a mess, the teachers were disgruntled, the administration was
completely consumed with politics and the facilities were pathetic. The
administration is still a shambles five years after I graduated!
Art Center did a lousy job of preparing me
for a design career. By the time I realized this
school was a scam (my third term out of eight),
it was too late - I was already on the
hook with Sallie Mae for over $35,000. So it was
either quit 1/3 of the way through, pay back the
money and have nothing to show for it, or speed
through and get a degree. I would have been better
off taking a $200 AutoCAD course and getting an entry
level job at a design firm. Knowing what I know
now, I would NEVER make the mistake of attending Art
Center again. It was a colossal waste of time and
money.
