The thing that I love is that CMU has every type of person here, from the artsy to the physics genius. They help you explore and find what you really want. I thought I was going to major in business or economics, I ended up choosing Mathematics and Computational Finance. I can still change my mind and try to become an architect or an engineer, and CMU will help me accomplish this.

Hi, I'm newly accepted to CMU, and I'm currently in the painful process of choosing schools, and have a few questions about CMU: I've heard that H&SS is by-far the worst school in academics and that it is better to pursue a liberal arts education elsewhere…is that true? You mention how you explored and changed from business to math; but some people say it's better to enter CMU already knowing what you want to do, so how do you respond to that? How easy is it to transfer between schools?

Sorry for bombarding you with questions…these are all questions i am very concerned about. I would really appreciate it if you could give me some insight.
