Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I could say that Drexel has some complimentary attributes, but in my honest opinion they are vastly overshadowed by its shortcomings. The business program is fair, but the course material is largely redundant and consists of busy work. If you're out for engineering or architecture, you probably will never emerge from your room or the studios long enough to realize how disgusting the campus is, so you should be fine. However, should you happen to be attending for anything outside the realm of engineering and its kin, you will quickly find yourself overwhelmed with freetime during your first quarters and more than likely realize just how poorly maintained the campus is.Unfortunately the University is sort of in a transition phase. They're doing so much construction work that the entire place is like a badly scarred face. Once they're done it should be a nice change, but the entire campus is still lacking in aesthetically pleasing features. Buckley Green and the lawns surrounding the DAC are just about the only green areas you'll find, and the latter is normally littered with empty wawa coffee cups and tacquito wrappers from what must be the highest grossing 711 in the US. I will also stress that you should always walk with a friend at night on campus. It sounds silly, but even with the Drexel safety officers rolling around on their carts and eating donuts, people still get mugged, stabbed, shot and beaten. The dorms are fair. Calhoun and Van R definitely have a slightly retro feel to them but noise does permeate very well through the ceilings and floors, so you'll have the joy of hearing not only your next-door neighbors, but the fellas from the 3rd floor, too! You may also find that the promotional hype that Drexel feeds people about being such technologically advanced campus is incredibly overrated. The Dragonfly wifi network has horrible reception in some of the areas of the campus, and can be a terrible bugger to register to. Your dorm lan is definitely the better way to go. Other than that, your social life can quickly become non-existant if you're not into partying, and the girl to guy ratio is sickeningly low. Sorry dudes.
