Drexel University is one of those schools that has a good reputation.  However, that's probably due to its' co-op program, it's one and only good thing about the school.  Aside from that, the rest of the experience at Drexel is very lacking.  The quality of the education isn't very satisfying, at least for the Information Technology major, I can't speak for any other majors.  The professors dont' seem very competant in teaching because students never understand the material the first time around.  What's worse is that at times, there have been tests that haven't been reflective of what has been taught in class.  Contrary to this, I've heard very wonderful things about the Engineering and Business majors at this school.  However, if you are not going to be these majors, I suggest going to another college as the education at Drexel is very lacking.  Probably the worst aspect of Drexel University is the financial aid factor.  It is a NIGHTMARE.  Students are obviously being overcharged for practically everything and the tuition and costs just keep increasing.  The school has jacked up the tuition price by $6000 since I have gotten to this school and finshed my freshmen year.  None of this money seems to be going to anything useful either.  It seems to be going towards construction for the University but the students who are being overcharged to fund this construction won't even be able to enjoy the benefits of it.  The financial aid office isn't a reliable place either, they have lost mine and many student's paperwork and made mistakes countless amount of times.  It just isn't right, the students are being overcharged for a university that is very lacking.  If the university didn't cost so much, I wouldn't mind the unsatisfying education as much but students are paying ALOT of money for lackluster education.  What also angers me is that students are often charged for things without our knowledge.  As for the social life aspect of the university, it's pretty typical of high school socializing.  You meet other people you like, you start talking to them and before you know it you became friends.  Nothing to complain about here.  The extra curriculars don't seem very appealing to me so I've never joined any which is why I can't judge it.  I have to admit that the on-campus activities can be pretty cool at times.  Especially Thursday night movies and probably the most memorable event was the snowball fight in June.  The dorming and housing portion of Drexel however, is not so impressive.  I'm sure this part of the experience differs for everyone but my experience at Kelly Hall was not very pleasant AT ALL.  The bathroom was always unsanitary (it was the students fault, not the faculty, the faculty did a good job in cleaning it but it always ended up nasty again in no time).  The entire floor has to share one public restroom, which isn't typical of many schools (and no desirable either).  The rooms are typical, they are somewhat small but no real complaints about the room itself.  The dorm life was very horrible for me, the people were like those sterotype college students on television: always partying and drunk.  It was very difficult to stick around the room because of all the noise and nothing being done about it.  Every week we were charged for something being broken and no one coming forth to give information as to who broke it, as a result everyone had to pay.  This irritated everyone on the floor because it just isn't fair to have to keep dishing out more money than we already have for something that a very small group of idiots have done.  Anyways, overall, Drexel Univeristy, is NOT a very good experience.  Unless you have a full scholarship to come here and you're going to be a Business or Engineering major, I wouldn't recommend coming to Drexel Univeristy.
