I
attended LHU and graduated in 1998 with a major in
Therapeutic Recreation. The program was fairly new and I
passed my national certification exam 1st time after I graduated.
My professor came all the way to New Jersey
to observe my internship. The classesd were demanding, but if
you are into an urban and exciting social life, this
may not be the school for you. But hey,
the purpose of college is to get a good education.
If you are going to be a teacher, LHU is
a great school! It was originally a Teachers College way
back when and they have a great grade/high school system
for student internships. I know cause I grew up in
Lock Haven. I also was accepted to Temple University
for my Masters of Education, so the diploma is a
well respected degree. I am now a Therapeutic Activities Coordinator,
with a decent salary and my own office and got
my whole start at LHU!
