I'm taking the aviation maintenance major, and my advice to you is don't believe everything you read in these reviews.  I can't speak for the other majors, but this major is just fine, I'm learning alot even though i already worked in an aircraft maintenance field for 5 years.  The teachers at the aviation center are all experts in the field and can pretty much tell you anything you need to know and all will help you if you need it, except mike, he's a bit unorganized, but a nice guy all the same.  None of the teachers are mean, rude, stuck up, or will be out to get you.  The facilities are all clean, and well maintained, there's plenty of hands on in this major, pretty much like everyday.  As for Williamsport and the college itself, I came here as an adult out of the military, not a fresh outta high school student so my opinions are slightly different.  The biggest gripe i saw in these reviews was the women, there are few women in this major, but at main campus i see plenty trust me, and not bad ones either.  Even if you can't find a girl on campus there are plenty off campus and in a 15 mile radius of williamsport.  You just have to know where to find them and how to pick them up, which is on you, you get out what you put in, if you expect some random woman to come to your dorm room and “take care of you” you'll be sorely disappointed.  I also can't speak much for the dorms and all that because i live off campus, but my advice on that is set up your living arrangements early if you want to live off campus, because, as i wasn't aware, the gas drilling business is big in the area, and the out of state gas drillers take all the apartments, and also drive up the price of said apartments.  Also for vets out there the va people at the school are nice, and helpful, but not like uber motivated, so expect to do a little leg work yourself if you have a problem with your gi bill.  And also i heard a lot about williamsport being dangerous or something...scoff...it's a small city and has a few “bad” spots, but i've never had any problems, and it doesn't hurt to have a small pistol and a pa concealed carry permit, easy to obtain with a clean record, but that's just my advice.  And as far as the campus and williamsport being full of rednecks and all that, there is some truth to that, you know what they say about pa, you got Pittsburgh and philly and everything in the middle is texas.  Also you have all the out of state drillers, who are mostly from down south with huge trucks and all that, so like i said there is some truth to it.  I guess the bottom line is that this is a tech school not a university, you come here to learn a trade, get a certificate/license, with degree options, and as far as the aviation maintenance program goes it's good for that, you'll learn a lot and have a good time.
