Major: Engineering Department (This Major's Salary over time)
Going to Penn has been one of the best decisions of my life. Since Penn has 4 undergraduate schools, each with a different focus on education, I got to meet a diverse people with varied ranging from the typical business students and pure science/pre-med to the rare performing arts majors! The school offers many types of elective classes for one to take, regardless of your major. There, despite being an engineering major, I still had opportunities to take American Sign Language, a women's studies class, business-oriented classes at the Wharton school, healthcare-focused course, 2 other foreign languages, and even went to study abroad.Despite many people's concerns about safety, Penn is in fact a very safe place. I had walked to my dorm or my friend's apt many times real late at nights, but never felt that I was unsafe at all. Security guards and emergency are all over campus, so it is not scary as many people may have warned you!Philadelphia is a great city to be in. Social life is great. There are a lot of activities going on and many student organizations for you to join, depending on what your interests are. Even if you do not enjoy being with a crowd of people, you can always take a quiet walk to Center City, learning the history and admiring the old Philadelphia or even checking out the flea market on Sundays! So…if you have a chance to go to Penn, do not ever think about passing it up!
