My
first year at Penn has been great. Matriculating to
an Ivy League university, I expected to be swamped with
work, overwhelmed with papers, and deprived of a social life.
However, Penn provides an excellent mix of academics, extracurriculars,
and social events, and it is a real “chill” place
to attend school while receiving an excellent education. I
usually get 8+ hours of sleep a night, and unless
I have a midterm or final, I am rarely stressed
or overwhelmed. In my opinion, students are very collaborative
rather than competitive; the stereotype that Wharton students are power-
and money-hungry sharks is very incorrect. Everyone is
more than willing to help each other out. Overall,
everything has been amazing, and if you want to have
an Ivy League education while still having a blast in
college, COME TO PENN!!!
