Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
Penn is a remarkable school. Keep in mind that some of the negative things being said about Penn are things that you will find in almost any selective school… try to picture those reviewers going to any other school that you are considering besides Penn. Do you really think that a school exists where people don't drink, and where there aren't some stuck-up people? But all defenses aside, there is extremely little that you can criticize Penn about that you CAN'T say about peer institutions: that a lot of people, with the exception of employers/graduate schools, don't understand that "the University of Pennsylvania" is in the Ivy League and that "Penn" is not "Penn State." But if you're playing the prestige game, then you've really got the college process all wrong. Go where the academic resources excite you most, not where you will get the best name recognition.
