| I
had the opportunity to attend classes at Carnegie Mellon while
also attending Pitt. There is simply no comparison between the
two institutions. I now understand what a college education can
be and how bad Pitt really is. All around, Pitt
is a second rate school. Professors are arrogant, unhelpful, and
disorganized. As a student at Pitt, you have to not
only do the work for the class, but also verify
that your grades are recorded and managed correctly by the
professors throughout the semester. Many times there are grading mistakes,
calculation errors, and ambiguity in the language of assignments. During
my years at Pitt, I felt that professors were setting
their students up for failure, by providing ambiguous instructions, using
trickery in exams, testing on material not covered in the
textbook or class, and not providing meaningful feedback when asked
for clarification. Not once did I feel empowered by a
professor at Pitt.
