This is an amazing school. I was a little nervous because i transferred here but i was amazed. The academics are amazing. They give you so many opportunities to get internships in nyc or philadelphia. My advisor worked with me and i only have a 3.0 gpa with no extra curricular activites but worked with an alumni in new york city and i am not interning with fox news this summer. The course work is very relavant to real life situations and it is not very hard. The courses might not be too hard because the professors in the comm department are great and make the course interesting. They focus the courses on real life situations so i can actually relate to them.

The student body here is great. There is such a sense of pride on the campus. Especially when basketball season is going on, everyone tries to get their work done and go to the games. There is a huge attitude of work hard, play hard. But basketball season is the most fun time. There are always parties going on after every game and if they make it to the ncaa tournament everything is out of control.

If house parties and frat life isnt your scene, there are so many bars around and are very easy with IDs. Villanova is a bar school and the bars do not disappoint. Being around other schools such as rosemont, temple, drexel, and lasalle make it so easy to party anywhere in philly. It is easy to make it to the bar and since campus is so close to the bars, safety is never an issue. There are always people walking around at night coming to and from the bars.

Housing is also great. The housing on campus is good but so many people rent apartments right off campus and if your lucky, you can get put in dorms at rosemont college if housing fills up at villanova. I was there my first year and thought id be miserable but rosemont is literally 30 ft from campus, to the point where buildings overlap and their dorms are amazing. The food was great and the rooms were spacious. This is now my second year and i moved off campus in an apartment with my friend and it is great.

The health center is a little weak because it isnt always open when you need it and the food is just college food. The campus also isnt right in center city so you dont getall the benefits there but the fact its an actual campus is great. Some of the people are really rich and arrogant but there are also so many people you can meet anywhere. There are so many different people on campus, white, spanish, black, indian, italian, irish and they have clubs for all of them. The campus gives a few good lectures and concerts throughout the year but i wish they would make it easier to get extra tickets to the basketball games and tickets. They are also very liberal with financial aid.

Overall i am so glad i picked villanova, i do not regret my decision.
