Major: Civil Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
As a current student, I've been reading this website and found an abundance of incorrect information, most of which has to do with the party life on campus and in the area. So I figured I should set the record straight… First, This is not a dry campus. My fridge is stocked (that means more than one kind of beer that isn't natty). This leads into my second point, the RA's are not out to get you in trouble. Last Friday night, I went out to the same party as my RA, we came back and had a bit of a post game in my apartment. Fact: I'm not 21, he knows this, and does not care. Third, I've read quite a few comments about there being nothing to do in the area - day or night. Philadelphia is the 5th or 6th largest city in the country. Villanova is located on the "main line" (Lancaster ave.) which has many of its own attractions and connects Nova directly into the city. Also, King of Prussia (the 2nd largest mall in America)is located less than 10min from campus. I won't even begin to talk about the liberty bell, art museum, or independence hall… (or the absurd amount of bars around campus and in philly.) I would encourage anyone who was bored around here to pull their heads out of their asses and look around.Fourth… This point does not really correct a lie I've seen in another review, but I would like to re-affirm the value of the education at the school after talking about the all the nightlife and fun here… The work will be difficult, and you will receive more of it than at other schools.(This holds especially true for engineering.) But not only will you learn, you'll learn to work hard and be challenged. When college is all said and done you'll be a better person for it. Your degree will have and maintain its value because it is from a superior institution of higher learning. Final notes1)You're a real soldier if you've managed to read this far.2)The girls are as good looking as the other reviews say - I reserve my judgement on the guys (Sorry ladies.)3)Go Cats. We have a pretty good basketball team and even when the team has an off year, the tailgates are a blast.
