I transferred to Salve Regina second semester of my freshman year because I loved the campus, everyone i talked to seemed so nice and I really felt like I could be happy here. I was, for the most part, but this is a tremendously expensive institution…and the educational value is BEYOND sub-par. Every student here went to private school or boarding school and is so ignorant of everything in the world; and Salve does nothing to teach them. I met a SENIOR who had never had a job in their life. NEVER. If you are wealthy and you can spend the money to go here; do it. Newport is fabulous!! The bars are amazing and pretty lenient about fake I.D.'s. The school is beautiful, clean, and even though the food is terrible the facilities are very nice. The library is top-notch, and you get to live in renovated mansions. If you need to take out loans to come here, I advise against it. It's not worth the money for a single second you are here. Leave Salve for the spoiled rich kids who will spend 4 years here in this lala land dream world, then go work for daddy.
