Date: Jan 09 2006 Major: English (This Major's Salary over time) The English program at BJU is excellent. The professors and instructors are personable and godly. The program has a strong focus on the classics, and the theoretical approach is conservative (text-centered). The professional tendency is towards classroom preparation rather than research, so the lectures are typically very good, and students are given a great deal of feedback on their analysis and writing. Of course, the professors are actively involved in professional organizations, and they publish, too. The program prepared me very well for my graduate studies (linguistics-related) and for my present work (adoption agency).
