From two MASSHOLES:

This school is an absolute JOKE. Sure if you are an in state student it MIGHT be worth your while. Otherwise as an out of state student paying $27,000 to be here, it isn't worth it at all. If you came to have fun and go out make sure you have money and a car otherwise you are stranded. Sure they have a shuttle service but it is always late and packed, and on the weekends it comes around about once an hour. Not to mention it stops running at 11pm, so without a car if you are relying on the shuttle for a ride, your night ends at 11pm. The beach that is supposedly "close", is about 30 minutes down the highway. The highways, 2 of them on either side of campus, make walking a non option. The food is absolutely awful, and the way your meal plans work they end up screwing you out of meals with their meal time schedules. The people working the meal halls do not care about how they prepare your food, often times I leave the deli or dining hall unsatisfied, and still hungry. If you swipe your meal at 5 o clock for dinner then you cannot use a meal swipe at any point afterward that night, instead they tell you to use your declining balance in efforts to scam more money from the student. The cops here are all about maxing their profits from fines. If you go to a party you can be almost certain that it will be busted within 2 hrs. The laws regarding marijuana are not lenient what so ever. If caught in possession of marijuana you can guarantee yourself a night in jail with your mug shot posted on the local jail website, and you will most likely be kicked off of on campus housing for your first offense (even though you get 3 drinking offenses before being kicked off of on campus housing). Even the university takes full advantage of scamming students. You will be fined for just about anything and everything. My freshman year I was fined $75 for having a broken blind on move out day, when in fact the blind was slightly bent (certainly not $75 worth of damage). I have seen parking tickets of $35 written for someone who was parked in an appropriate spot but had their wheel on the white line, which is just absurd. The girls are overrated, the guys are mostly from Jersey and are exactly like the Jersey Shore losers. It is very culturally diverse, but there isn't much mixing of races as far as socializing goes. There are a lot of racist conservative southerners. If you are trying to work while attending school, bring a car. There is nothing that is within walking distance. This is my second year at CCU, last semester was fun when I finally met friends who I liked and also had cars for getting around. Otherwise this year everyone transfers out and I am stuck here counting down the days until I get to leave making this experience a depressing one to say the least. The teachers and students here are beyond unintelligent. Sometimes I wonder how it is possible that some of these kids were accepted, and it leads me to believe that this school is all about making money and doesn't so much care about the well being of the student. They spend a lot of money on unnecessary things such as batting cages when they need things like more shuttles, better food, and intelligent professors. All in all as an out of state student this is definitely not worth your money. I do not recommend this university, as i am counting down the days until i transfer.

responseHow about not smoking pot at all? What an idea. If things are too easy, you can easily fix that by signing up for about 22 hours a semester. I would suggest Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry for the extra classes. I promise you will be challenged. The problem is not the school, it's you

responseSo you complain about leaving the dining halls still hungry..but bro 2 of them are all you can eat, cook a wide variety of food from and all three categories of breakfast lunch and dinner.. with common favorites as well as a different home cooked meal everyday.. so..yeah. On top of that you say they won't let you use meal swipes and ask for money instead, but you can easily keep up with how many you have left to use for the semester online..so don't blame them because you refuse to keep an eye on what you've got left. If you want more buy a better meal plan bro. Then you complain that the marijuana laws are leniant, but why would they be…illegal is illegal pot head. Follow the rules and you won't have to worry about how "leniant" they can be. I've been here two years and can tell you that the majority of the guys there aren't "jersey shore losers", it's diverse. You say they spend money on unnecessary things like batting cages but they won the championship a few years back so what do you expect when they bring in so much money for the school they can't at least have a batting cage bro? And then you said the professors aren't intelligent which I know is a lie, because not only are they qualified, but they are extremely intelligent and I haven't seen or heard of a single professor not knowing the entirety of their subject matter. Whether they're capable of teaching each student effectively..that depends on the professor and the student, however you can't say they are not intelligent or don't know what they are talking about.
