While I wouldn't classify EVERYTHING about the school as negative, I am, on the whole, disappointed with this place. The city is beautiful, tuition is very fairly priced, and most of my professors have been interesting. The vast majority of students, however, are here either because: 1.) They want to party. 2.)They couldn't get into Clemson, Furman, Wake Forest or Elon.Seriously, I have found exactly ZERO people who are interested in anything resembling academia. Is it so much to expect that at least a fraction of students in a college have a passion for their major?? Have interesting ideas, opinions, and experiences besides what quantity of alcohol was consumed the previous night??? Admissions needs to tighten the standards for acceptance here, 80-90% of the students here should not, in a more perfect world, have been accepted to any college, anywhere.
