When I was a business student at Cal Poly Pomona we were the seventh ranked university in the West according to US News and World Report rankings. Now we have sunk all the way down to a lowly 32d, behind Chico State and even with Sonoma State, two schools nowhere near the top ten a decade ago. Sadly, many inferior institutions have sped by my alma mater while we seem to be treading water at best. I am absolutely stunned that half of my college has resigned or retired in the past two years. When I am asked for money I will want to know why this new dean has not been fired for incompetence!
