Major: Engineering Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I was a Transfer student from MTSU in the spring semester of 2005. I transfered because I my family was moving to the Nashville and i could stay with them and attend school there. When i arrived ar TSU it seemed to be surrounded in a really bad / dangerous area. After survivng the school and Graduating I figured I could easily jump into a civil engineering job. I was wrong. For almost a year I have been looking for that job and it seems I am always shut out because most employers overlooked TSU compared to other peoples schools who did apply. It seems to be anyone else I know also who was in the engineering degrees at TSU who have the same problem especially right now with the bad economy. I would warn anyone who goes into and engineering field or anything besides TSU's psychology program to just forget jumping into a great job from. I'm working for $10.50 with a bachelors degree. I wish I would have stayed at MTSU with my friends and switched my major or went to a better school with a better reputation outside the ghetto.
