College instills a since of confidence in my skills and knowledge. College developed a base of skills and knowledge for marketing in the employment arena. For college - one should know to take the more difficult classes and professors. The real world is competative, so don't follow the crowd. You must beat them out of the better paying jobs. More difficult classes place distance between you and those skip them. More difficut professors insure that learning takes place. Remember Robert Frost's poem and take the road less traveled by - and that will make all the difference.

Students entering college should know to set their schedule with time between each class. Immediately after each class go to a quiet spot in the library, take out your notes for earlier classes in that course and study them for fifteen minutes, then study the notes that you just took, prior to going to the library, for 45 minutes. At the end of the semester you will not need to cram for exames - you will know the subject. When covering you notes develop one good question to ask in the following class. Too many questions become an annoyance, but one good question each class - increases retention, develops interests, establishes face and name recognition with the professor, and clarifies ambiguities. This method worked for me as an undergrad and a graduate. Good luck!
