TAMUCC
is an excellent choice for someone wanting a quality education
at a medium sized school. We benefit from the
Texas A&M brand, although the school is separate from the
College Station campus. Faculty are friendly, accessible and helpful.
Many students commute so there isn't the same comaraderie
you'll find at a larger, football school. (There's no
football to rally around on Saturdays.) The residence halls
and apartments are first rate and there is plenty to
do if you look for it. The facilities are
good and they are building a new rec center.
Corpus is an okay college town, but I chose the
school not the town. I looked at several other schools
- Texas State, Tech, Angelo State, Baylor, and SF Austin
but thought TAMUCC was the best fit. With around 9,000
students it's a good size. TAMUCC may not be
as prestigeous as some schools, but I think I'm getting
a quality education at a very good price.
