Major: School of Information (This Major's Salary over time)
UH is continually ranked at #1 and #2 for being the most diverse school in the nation, and it shows. Coming here will expose you to plenty of culture, and new ideas. Originally, this was not my first choice of school, but I could never see myself leaving, because I love this place. I'm determined to be accepted for graduate school here, just so I can continue after I graduate! This university having a commuter reputation is a bit ridiculous. Let's look at facts here. The University of Houston has 12% of its student population living on-campus. Let's look at a school that DOESN'T have a commuter reputation, the University of Texas at Austin. How many students live on-campus there? 15%. The percentages are comparable, and the reputation is just flat out unwarranted.Someone can be unsociable or a loner at any university. UH has incredibly fun student events, many famous speakers, music, and sporting events to attend. I've had a blast living on-campus here, and encourage anyone who wants the true university experience to move here if accepted. Go Coogs!
