Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
The transfer program in the Business school is a joke! Before transferring, I brought in my transcripts, from another Texas Public University (more highly ranked), and after the counselor reviewed my transcripts (I was a senior with 110+ credit hours) stated that 90 hours would easily transfer. I needed to transfer because of locality, so I quit my job, moved to Denton, moved into a new residence, and the day before classes started, the counselor informed me that after an "Official" audit, UNT would only transfer 40 credit hours. I transferred with a 3.8 GPA, and I was immediately put on academic probation, which only allowed me to take 2 classes each semester. I went from being a Senior, to barely a Sophomore, and my graduation date has been delayed 3+ years. When I requested certain classes tranfer (i.e. Calculus, Microeconomics…) I was told they couldn't because I didn't have the syllabus. I retrieved the syllabus, then they told me they couldn't accept they credit because my previous university used a different edition of the same textbook. The university is a joke for transfer students- they manipulate students' time and money just to line their pocket.
