I transfered here very easily after doing 2 years at a Junior college…the problem was there was no transfer orientation. I had to find how to register for classes on my own, had to find my way around on my own, and had to figure out financial aid on my own. 3 of my 4 instructors in the first semester had VERY heavy accents (guess which classes I failed) and 1 instructor was sick at LEAST once a week (twice when it got colder). My first semester did not end well at all and when I complained to the department their basic opinion was "suck it up, this is college". In the second semester my wife became sick about the halfway mark. When I withdrew from the university it was after losing my job and when my wife was admitted to the hospital…they had the nerve to ask me to refund ALL of my money, the money I had already spent on books, tuition, and on my wife's medicines. Needless to say I do NOT reccomend UT Arlington but I do have a brother who started 3 years after me and says that they HAVE improved quiet a bit. For a good research university UT Arlington is great…but for undergraduate studies where you are not surrounded by 500 asians with a superiority complex I would say go somewhere else.
