Tuition and cost of living borders on ludicrous, especially for a college student starting out with no money. I pay to live on campus, wherein laundry machines are available and are hooked up to swipe machines. The function of the swipe machines are to enable students to use their "Bevo Bucks" that we have to purchase at the beginning of the semester. Unfortunately I can never get my laundry done by swiping. The machines take my money but do not send the transaction to the washing machines. Work orders are constantly being put in, and the technicians "claim" to fix the machines, but that is never the case. This is one of the smaller ways the University manages to nickle-and-dime you. Not to mention that taking AP tests ($86 a piece) to earn college credit is pointless. I came in my freshman year with 16 AP credit hours, hoping to save some money. They amounted to nothing in terms of adding another degree to my plan, petitioning for more 18 hours; they did not even permit me to register for classes as a sophomore for the spring-semester.

This is not to say that the University is a bad school; on the contrary. However it's like buying a new car- you get charged for not only the car, but the tank of gas, the wax, the air freshener, an oil change, etc.
