The department of English has been the saving grace for me in a school full of Northern VA-bred spoiled Republicans. Not to cast the net far and wide or be too judgmental, but if you are from the West coast like I am, you will wonder why everyone is in such a hurry, and why everyone is always dressed so nice. At first is seems that there are a lot of people more concerned with money than happiness, more concerned with themselves than others, more concerned with their clothes than their comments, but then I made friends within my own academic niche of sorts and I just don't venture over to the business school. I would go somewhere else just to experience school in a city, as opposed to a Colonial reenactment.
