I majored in American Studies which is a great department full of wonderful faculty. I generally had a good experience with the liberal arts faculty at William and Mary.

However NOTHING can make up for how miserable I and everyone around me was for four years at this school. It tends to draw socially inept people who will kill themselves for good grades but are not actually very smart or good critical thinkers. The town is small and horrid and anti-student, the administration presents itself as an enemy to the students, and there aren't many positive or useful outlets for expression or extracurricular activities.

I urge anyone reading this site to PLEASE for your own sake reconsider any idea you might have going to this school.
