Longwood University

I know I shouldn't say this, since this is my university and all, but I doubt any one gets denied admission to longwood. Most of the students here, (which are mostly girls), are a little on the "slow" side—I came here because my SATs were low (I'm bad at tests) and I thought that a university that was not as selective but offered a small class size would be the way to go—WRONG. My major is education because I knew that this is what I wanted to do since I was a child, most of the students enrolled in Longwood are education majors as well, but are for the wrong reasons. Longwood has a reputation of being a teacher college but the education major at Longwood is also known as being the "easiest" major. Most of the students here plan to go back to their hometown to teach and many, if not most, are 1st in their family to go to college. But I think that is one of Longwood's best attributes—the students here strive to stay in college and most take on jobs to pay tuition—it wasn't expected of them to come to college, "daddy" isn't paying for it—there are some strong, lovely ladies here at Longwood! I've met so many great friends from all different backgrounds, all different economic levels—and thats been great—I think I'll stay (not going to lie, primarily for financial reasons) although, if possible, I might transfer to ODU or Radford
