Its important to remember when reading comments on here that a lot of people are disgruntled with the university, so the views expressed on this site are sometimes jaded.  I will admit that Marymount could improve in many aspects of its environment, including the staff in the business school.  Ive had some difficulty getting my advising done becuase one of my advisors has had difficulty keeping track of my records, and its pretty hard to get in contact with this person.  However, we have been able to get things done with her and Im hoping that I can graduate in time.  The residence halls re being updated, (e.g.- bathrooms have been renovated, computers are all brand new.  etc...), but there are buildings that could still use a little help.

But there are for more positive to the negative.  The frineds that I have met here are absolutely amazing, and in my experiences the people that I have met are very down to earth and approachable.  Yes, the party scene here leaves much to be desired but thats not the reason why I came here, and I am the happiest that I have ever been.  The social life here, for me, was pretty good becuase I live on campus.  Of course if you're a commuter to the school, I can understand why you would have discontent.  The school is working on getting commuter more connected, but time will tell.

When coming to Marymount, dont expect to be coming to a big party school.  If you're expecting that, youll be surely dissapointed.  Now I didnt come here for that atmosphere, I can because of our close proximity to Washington (I intern for a very powerful organization in the District), and the fact that people are really easy going.  Yes, there are people here that are pretty snooty and ignorant, but if you ignore those people that problem disappears!  I have great friends (all of which Ive met from living on campus, which certainly helps) We go into DC more often then not, becuase there is not much stuff do on campus.  But you have to admit, for its size it does the best job that it can.  You cant compare Marymount to a big state school becuase there is a huge size difference.
