Virginia Tech is awesome.  The food here is amazing, the students here are great.  Alot of people work just to get the grade, not truly understnd the material, but you definitely need to work hard to get a good grade with most classes.  The professors will definitely help you if you go to office hours, and most actual professors speak english.  The TA's don't though.  The social lfe here is fun, but if you don't drink you better be pretty outgoing, or your not going to meet anyone on weekends.  Theres always pickup volleyball or soccer or fooball games going on everywhere, so if that's your deal, you can play whenever you want.  The dorms have sinks in them, which is awesome.  You definitely dont need a car to get arround in blacksburg, the BT transit takes you anywhere, so unless you plan on driving home all the time, spare your money.

Please do not look at some of Virginia Techs admissions statistics and write it off as an easy school to get into.  Engineering here is very tough to get into, and even tougher to get out.  Virginia tech is better than UVA in technical fields, and is one of the best publics in engineering in the country.

GO HOKIES!
