I just want to know why are people at Central Washington University, so racist, snotty, and arrogant? It seems like you have to know people before you get there. I just want to be friends with people. Is it because kids here have their school payed for and they think they're better than everyone else? Is it the snotty Seattle mentality? |

I'll try to keep my biases to a minimum. I came to Central as a last resort, as I had problems with financial aid at my other college and Central was the only school still taking applications when I needed to switch (June). I came in knowing that I was not the type of student that went here, but I clung tightly to the phrase, "you'll learn to love wherever you go". It's winter quarter of my first year here and I've already developed a bitter taste in my mouth. The university absolutely does not care about their students, so much that they won't close the university during a declared state of emergency just so they can make money. Classes are comparable to community college but at university price. Even though Central is developing a reputation as a party school, it isn't. Social life on campus is broken and quite lame. Honestly, I wish I would've just went to community college for a year and waited to save up some more money to go to my choice school, because I find it surprising that Central is accredited.
