From the moment I walked into the campus, I knew I belonged there. There was such an infectious vibe of creativity everywhere. Never had i had so many professional adults acknowledging my own talent and helping me create the life I wanted to live. The instructors, administration, and career development advisors were knowledgable, caring, and went above and beyond to help me achieve success. Any student that didn't take full advantage of all the resources that FIDM offers was/is only cheating themselves. The design & entertainment industries are tough - personally, you either have it, or you don't - I've enjoyed the challenge. Whenever I tell people I met I graduated from FIDM there is always a level of respect that I get…my advice for high school students? Be prepared to work hard, use every opportunity to network, get to know your instructors, AND GO TO CLASS!

commentAm I the only one who understands nothing at fashion industry?
commentSometimes I think that modern designers need some design courses because all these branded and fashion accessories and clothes are, first of all, overpriced and secondly their look is usually questionable. I happened to read on Mau-fashion reviews on LV handbags and you know what? These fake handbags are almost the same quality-wise.
commentProbably, if I had time to study now, I would go to study as a designer. Clothes are interesting and I have always enjoyed studying fashion history because fashion is more about the person than the clothes in my opinion. If I were sewing clothes, then I would be engaged in hijabs, Abaya, since there are quite a few truly high-quality and fashionable stores with such clothes in the world.
