Menlo
college was probably the biggest waste of money that anyone
can ever spend. First of all it is nothing like
they describe the school. There is not around 800 students,
its more around 200 students. 50% of the upperclassmen dorms
are empty due to so many students leaving. The freshmen
class is the same size as all other three classes
put together. They are more worried about catching students drinking
then the academics. While I attended they kicked out two
students in one semester for drinking for their first offense....but
simply didn't mind the number of students failing, not attending
class, or the two students I knew that simply withdrew
mid semester and attented community college instead. All this during
my one semester attending Menlo. The social life on campus
is terrible, first of all no one stays. Once friday
rolls around everyone leaves and goes home except for the
international students. The dorms are nothing special, they are obviously
easily broken into, since while attending I knew of three
rooms that were broken into and had many expensive items
stolen which the school did nothing about other then we
will change the lock, and they claim to have 24
hr security service. Which I might say many people think
it may have been the security guards since one break-in
happend during thanksgiving break while every one was at home.
Overall avoid Menlo COllege do not be tricked and fooled
with what they promised, there is not social life, no
club or intermerual activities, and the education is horrible...you do
not even have to go to class and you can
still receive a 3.0. Save your money and stay out
of the joke of a school. Attend a community college
instead.
