Excellent teachers! My drama professor was from Yale, and was very helpful as an industry insider. My video & film professor was likewise an accomplished professional. I had seen both of them on TV before! I also had great professors in English, Math, Art, and History. Most Saddleback professors also teach at UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, or Cal State Long Beach. The newly built, modern Library and Student Center is awesome. The other buildings are older, but not bad. The campus is pretty large and hilly, which affords beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Very safe - Mission Viejo ranks as the number 2 safest city in the entire nation.
I wish the college would build some dorms on campus. There is an apartment complex sandwiched between the campus and the Mission Viejo mall, which draws students from as far as Alaska.
Sports is a big draw. Saddleback has produced its share of Pro athletes.
The curriculum is very comprehensive. The State of California could easily convert this campus into another UC, and they should! UC Saddleback. With the extensive curriculum and excellent professors, students would not have to transfer to Los Angeles or Northern Orange County area.
