Major: PreDent and Dentistry (This Major's Salary over time)
If you expect to learn anything at Auburn University you're in for a surprise. The "professors", until you get into the more advanced classes, are unconcerned with the majority of their students actually learning any of the material and are sorting through their 300+ student classrooms to find only the 3 in 100 brilliant students to aid them in their research. The rest be prepared to fail or come short of what you expect no matter how much studying you put forth. Nothing is drilled into your head, it is empty words on an excessive amount of slides to them and only people with photographic memories will find their place here. Several sub 101 classes that should be easy As are made difficult by the universities extremely generous amount of Asian professors who can't speak fluid English. I went through community college before I came here and based on my experiences, if you want to learn and feel like a more knowledgeable person on any subject, go with community college. There the teachers are passionate about informing the students about their subject. Otherwise you'll end up a part of the staff and faculties obsession over finding research partners before educating the students to become better more knowledgeable people.
