I made the mistake (several times) of making the bad decision of choosing to hold fast to the pursuit of a short term goal rather than changing my short term goal activities to achieve my long term goal.  For example, I turned down a kitchen job at United Airlines while in school to finish my courses with better grades and attendance than I would have gotten if I had taken the job.  Since getting out of school, United won't even consider me.  The long term goal of school was to get on with a airline.  I blew that one.

responseCan't fault the school for united or any other business for not hiring you because you turned down a flight kitchen job. This must be a dated response as UAL hasn't had a flight kitchen in many years, and more than likely, wouldn't have mattered anyway with the number of A&P's on the recall roster.
