San Diego State University in a nutshell

I?ll start off by saying that I was a top notch high school student that was admitted to quite a few other so called higher ?ranked? universities but still chose SDSU for several reasons. Growing up in San Diego, I knew that this city is one of the greatest places in the country to live and would find it hard to go move somewhere cold to forced inside all day. Second this University has one of the best returns on investments because of the very low state tuition (Out-of-state is way higher). Lastly but most importantly all of the people I met while touring the campus seemed to be having a great time and had nothing bad to say about the school.

Pros:

The campus is full of beautiful girls and boys a like

The new Aztec Student Union is amazing and features a bar, bowling alley, and a bunch of other cool features

The teachers here are top notch. As much as people will bash on them they all have their PhD?s from places like Oxford, Johns Hopkins, and UCSD.

The weather

The gym aka The ARC is super nice

The D1 Athletics

The food is pretty good all across campus

There are almost always parties to go to if not the bars and the clubs are always open.

The school is so diverse there is something for anyone and everyone to do.

Cons:

Some of the dorms are outdated

The school is cracking down on Greek life and the party scene

Some of the class sizes are pretty big because it?s a large state school

They give out parking tickets like crazy if you park anywhere on campus

All in all, if want a great college experience I would highly suggest coming here. The academics aren?t spoon fed to you so you will have to get used to seeking out your professors for office hours. Major in something practical like engineering or business and you?ll be sure to land a great job after college especially since the reputation is going way up. Get involved on campus in ANYTHING and it will make your experience 10x better. GO AZTECS!
