Major: Video/Media (This Major's Salary over time)
Like any school, SFSU has its good and bad points. It's a big commuter school, so it's hard to meet people sometimes, but if you get involved in clubs or activities you can make some good friends and forge connections within your department. Don't base your decision completely on other people's experiences…college is what you make of it. If you're looking for the stereotypical college experience, this might not be the school for you; but if you mainly want to focus on academics you can really learn a lot. I'm a cinema major, and even though I came in with zero experience in the field I've learned a lot from some really excellent teachers. A lot of majors are really impacted, so you've got to be willing to fight for a place in class…but it can be worth it if you put in the time and do the work.
