Education/Staff/Expenses:

I was extremely excited to be going to this school. One semester in and I can tell that this school is just about taking your money and handing you a piece of paper on your way out. Within the first few weeks of school you are pushed to register for next quarter classes ASAP, and trust me you will not be able to take your time with this. I have encountered numerous problems with business faculty not communicating amongst each other and having to fix such problems myself. They sent me through an obstacle course just to take a quarter off but registering to attend in the first place took no time or effort, of course. Though there are professors worth the $1500 you pay for such classes, there are few. I've come across some of the most arrogant professors here and it's quite off-putting. The classes you register for seem fun but attending them is another story. About 60% of the time you spend in class has nothing to do with what the class entails according to the books. I have definitely learned from the short time i've attended but i'm sure I could've learned the same if not more from any other school, keep in mind credits are non-transferable from here. Tuition is also said to include books but for about 85% of classes they give you a list of required textbooks you have to buy from the bookstore (WTF??) I'd rather take my 40k and spend half at another school and half on a brand new car. It's an ok school if you have the money to spend, but if not go elsewhere and get yourself a better education from a better regarded school.

Dorms:

I stayed in the dorms for maybe 4 months and had to get the hell out of there. I had a room to myself for a while because my roommate could't take staying more than 3 days in that horrible place. My room had multiple leaks which resulted in mold and me getting sick. Took management a month to move me out and I did NOT get compensation for multiple items that molded or notice to my professors for projects that got ruined by the leaks. Next room I stayed in had developed mold as well. This place is just filthy and gross. Taryn who is the assistant administrator for the dorms is absent minded, has no concern for anyone whatsoever and unorganized. There is no regard to curfew which is at 10 pm I believe. I was kept awake by people hanging outside my room until 3 am. Security doesn't do much nor pay attention to much. Maintenance is always trying to fix the A/C and pretty much ignores anything else they need to do; there was a slushy spill right outside my door that happened over a month ago by some stranger and it remains there to this day. With a roommate they charge about $600 a month, so that means they're making $1200 a month for EACH room that is cramped, has dirty, broken, rusty furniture, mold, horrible A/C, shuttle that is barely available because of budget cuts and no internet included (unless you bring your own router). definitely NOT worth the money, do yourself a favor and find off-campus housing and just take the bus to school or carpool if you can.

Student Body:

Most students are pretty friendly. This school DEFINITELY has their share of cliques. As with most art schools plenty of attention seeking "creatives". There are plenty of activities going on around the school if you try and look for them. I've made quite a few friends but not within my field. The fashion students can be a little stuck up but I just ignore most of them. It seems as though the advertising and students are the most friendly, not sure why.
