Since this posting, I am real impressed by St. Petersburg College and they are trying to make sweeping changes. I will be graduating in May 2012 with my BAS as planned. If you need an education and cannot afford a large university, this would be an ideal place. I have found staff members who care about the students. Thank you for making my dreams possible. |

Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I have been attending this college since Fall of 2010. At that time I tried to make sure all paperwork was turned into the Admissions office as I am trying to pursue a BAS in Technology Management. Fast forward, I only have two semesters left and I recieve a phone call from financial aide stating they need three more transcripts from other colleges that I have attended and I will be placed in a non-degree status. St Petersburg College, then went behind my back and requested and paid for two of three transcripts. I am still however in a non-degree status and all the classes that I had planned on taking for the Fall 2011 are not available. Since I have more than 180 credits, I will have to file a maximum time frame appeal. If I continue with this university my graduation date would not be pushed back to December 2012 instead of May 2012. Instead of placing me in a nondegree status, they should have requested transcripts as they did anyway. I feel as if I am being taken for a ride with this college. Please avoid this college and I saw the post where the BAS was not recognized or accepted. Yes, I am in classes now where I doing just busy work and find no real relevance to Technology. I urge you to go somewhere else. I am going to be attending a local trade school for Accounting Operations so that I can gain some marketable skills and be out in nine months.
