The party people here have potential to learn and they come from affluent families. If you go to a low ranked school, you will find that most people, partyers or not, didn't do well in high school and don't have families who have the money to send them somewhere good. |
Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
If you're looking for an academically-driven student environment, you certainly will not find it at UCSB. Most of the students here party all the time. I am not a party-person, and am finding extremely difficult to find those who attended this university to obtain a great education, not to party. The university does not do much to promote nor support academic success. Study locations (not outside) and help services are inadequate and limited. Budget cuts may have something to do with this, but it doesn't seem like that would be the whole story. There are countless other issues I have with this school, but I will not rant.
