Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a working mother and have been out of traditional school for over 25 years. I was fortunate to have worked hard my entire career in healthcare and have been rewarded for that hard work. I have attended 3 major universities but never found the time to compelete my degree due the responsibilities of motherhood, (4 children) and work.

I chose CSU to complete my degree, for a few reasons. One, tuition was extremely affordable and books are included in the tuition, second, I have a AAS degree plus additional credits and CSU transfered the maximum, and third, the option of a completely online education was crucial, due to my work schedule.

I was impressed with the first course I took and the responsiveness of the professor. She took the time to get to know me, through email, and gave me great feedback on assignments and my writing skills. You will have to complete many essays during your course work, but that is vital to your understanding and application of the material.

The course work is challenging, much reading and writing, vebalizing what you have learned and applying it to real situations. Of course, you will get out of it what you actually put into it.

I am currently working on my second class now, and I will say that I am not at all impressed with this professor. He does not grade the assessments and essays in a timely manner, nor does he communicate well. I'm still waiting for an answer to email from three weeks ago. I've had to notify the student services representative and my academic advisor at CSU to get the professor to actually grade an assessment. I do know that there are good professors and bad professors at traditional univeristies as well. I hope this professor is the exception at CSU. Because this course is in my major I am extremely disappointed at the lack of communication from him. His profile states that he is quite bright, and I'm sure that I could learn something from him with appropriate feedback, other than "excellent". I do hope that either he improves or he does not teach another course that I have to take at CSU or I will seriously consider transferring. While the tuition is affordable I am still paying for my education and expect better. This is only my second class at CSU, so the jury is still out, but this professor has to improve. I believe that you do have the opportunity to evaluate the professor at the end of the course.

I will post again as I move further along in the process at CSU, but for now I just wanted to be able to share my opinion.

The administration has communicated timely, took care of all the transfer paperwork, evaluated all previous coursework and set up my educational plan all in a timely manner. My only complaint and dissatifaction is with this one professor. Time will tell.

While I give the faculty an F it is only this one professor I am grading, not the first one. There should be an NA category for facilities and student life for online universities, since these are not applicable.
