While I do agree with your comments regarding the excellent customer service at CSU,I take issue with the fact that you think all Regionally accredited institutions are for profit. This is not the case; many non-profit institutions are regionally accredited. Additionally, CSU is a privately owned for profit institution. Accreditation status has nothing to do with whether a school is for profit or non-profit. |
Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time)
This is an excellent online institution with an accredited education from DETC Accrediting Council which is accepted by the U.S. Department of Education, CHEA, and is a non-profit institution. I am married with children and working a full-time job and enrolled in the Per-Course Enrollment (as of 2011, only $600 per course which includes books). The assessments (quizzes) are open-book, no time limit, 10 multiple-choice and 2 250-300 word essays which can be submitted only once. There may and may not be a final which consists of 50 multiple-choice questions that is timed for a grateful 4 hours. Courses must be completed in 10 weeks and you may purchase 2 $50 30 day extensions per course. This institution will accept the most transfer credits which is a legal maximum of 90 credits, the most any other college would accept from me. I reviewed over 150 online institutions within the United States over a period of 6 months and settled on Columbia Southern University. I have a full-time job, children, and still carry between a 3.5 - 4.0 easy with no real challenge. Do not listen to Regionally Accredited Colleges as they are PROFIT institutions. Nationally-Accredited = Non-Profit Institution. Regionally-Accredited = Profit Institution. Share this information with the next RA Admissions Advisor you come into contact and watch them stutter in attempting to combat your factual statement. I recommend CSU for the completion of your Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's level degrees. And, lastly, the most friendliest customer service and most helpful staff from advisors to professors to tutors in the entire online education universe. Am I making this all up? You tell me why I would take the time out of my weekend evening to post this valuable information in which you can ask any CSU employee if the above information is correct. You'll be shocked to see it's all facts. I recommend DETC-Accredited organizations for the completion of a degree in which you began and are attempting to transfer credits to finish, if you are full-time employed, and if you have children.
