The
school itself is what you would expect for a state
school. Classes are generally unchallenging, with the exception of
a few. Attendance is NEVER mandatory; in fact, most
classes there is really no point in going. However,
many classes have 300-400 people in them, so if you
are struggling, make sure you go to the TAs, who
are generally very helpful (unlike the teachers) HOWEVER.
There
is no parking - I got over $1,000 in parking
tickets my freshman year. Also, since classes are so
huge and attendance is so optional, it's hard to make
friends through classes. Be friendly to the people in
your dorm freshmen year, because those will be your friends.
Fort Collins itself, while a beautiful city, has nothing to
do. There are no good clubs; no nice restaurants;
and if you're underage, GOOD LUCK getting into a bar
or buying alcohol, I don't care how good your fake
is.
If you're into house parties, you'll like this school
- theres atleast 1 huge one every weekend. If
you're outdoorsy, you'll love this school.
If you drink &
drive, you will get a DUI. Probably more than
one.
Bottom line - for a good education, go to
Boulder. For greek life, go to Boulder. If
you're into drugs, go to Boulder.
